Frank Wilson – President & CEO
Frank has been a business leader in the Aerospace & Defense industry for over 25 years and in that time he has successfully grown numerous businesses. Frank’s ControlCam related experience includes working on numerous military airborne surveillance systems along with successfully growing iRobot’s commercial Security Robotics business. As Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Defense and Security Business unit at iRobot, Frank led the expansion of the commercial market from a few million dollars to more than $30 million in 2015 while stabilizing a declining defense market. At BAE Systems, Frank led Business Development for the $4B Electronic Systems sector and prior to that, was the VP/GM and Director of numerous businesses within BAE Systems and in each of those businesses, very high business growth rates were achieved. Frank holds undergraduate degrees in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (Tau Beta Pi), as well as a Masters in Control Systems Engineering, all with honors. Frank also received an Executive MBA (Beta Gamma Sigma) from Boston University with highest honors.
Dr. Mohannad Al-Durgham – CTO
Mo is a Geomatics domain expert with a decade track record of leadership experience. He is a technical expert in state-of-the art mapping technologies, computer vision, quality assurance and quality control. Mo has a comprehensive understanding of remote sensing technologies and their underlying fundamentals through involvement in highly technical projects. Mo’s abilities go beyond his Geomatics background which enables him to play crucial roles at ControlCam. His breadth of knowledge in computer technology, networks, algorithm design and architecture is imperative to maintaining ControlCam’s leading edge in the imagery acquisition market. Earlier in his career, Mo designed and implemented multiple revenue-yielding solutions for large (U.S. wide) Geomatics problems. During past employments, Mo worked laterally across multiple companies and partners to support world renowned mapping systems. On multiple occasions, Mo helped creating the foundation of software used in the industry to process aerial imagery into GIS friendly products. While working full time, Mo taught multiple lecture sessions at The University of Calgary in Geomatics Engineering and was a visiting scholar in the Digital Photogrammetry Research Group (DPRG), Calgary, Canada. While a collaborating researcher and lecturer at the University of Calgary, Mo developed algorithms for manipulating large volumes of LiDAR data, automated camera calibration software, photogrammetric bundle adjusting and radiometric color mosaicing, automating surface matching algorithms for irregular point clouds and introduced new standards for software development within the university team. Mo received a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (Geosciences) from University of Toronto. An MS in Geomatics Engineering from the University of Calgary, Canada and a BS in Geomatics Engineering from Albalqa` Applied University, Jordan.
Rigo Gonzalez – Chief Pilot, Director of Operations
Rigo Gonzalez, Jr. is ControlCam’s Chief Pilot and Director of Operations. He directs all aviation related operations for ControlCam, LLC and operationally oversees ControlCam’s business units. Rigo has an Aviation Management & Flight Operations degree from Jacksonville University and is a practicing Certified Flight Instructor. As General Manager for a central Texas Fixed Base Operator Rigo developed and honed successful operational processes that resulted in some of the companies most profitable quarters. He stabilized employee turnover and raised operational output while decreasing operational overhead. As a Lead Pilot and Chief Pilot for ControlCam, Rigo has logged thousands of flight hours in aerial data aircraft across 46 states.
Greg Mulligan – Board Member
Greg Mulligan founded Bay Capital Advisors in 1994 after a 14 year career in commercial lending at Fleet Financial Group. Greg has raised over $500 million for private companies in a variety of situations, since starting Bay Capital Advisors. Mr. Mulligan co-founded BCA Mezzanine Fund, L.P. in 2006 to address the small to mid-sized company mezzanine market. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Dover Saddlery, Inc. and is a member of the board of the Northeast Regional Association of Small Business Investment Companies (NERASBIC). Mr. Mulligan is a graduate of Boston College.
Steven Swartzman – Board Member
Based in Kansas City, Mr. Swartzman spent 4 years building and managing the private equity operations at KC Venture Group prior to co-founding C3 Capital. At KC Venture Group, he was primarily responsible for structuring and managing subordinated debt investments. Prior to this, he spent 7 years as a Vice President with Citibank in New York, managing client relationships for emerging markets clients and structuring and syndicating over $1 billion in complex trade financings. Mr. Swartzman received a Masters of Business Administration from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard College.
